The SQ Series of pumps comprises the Standard SQ and the SQE "SmartFlo".

This series of pumps operate at a constant speed, much like today’s conventional pumps. But the electronically-controlled permanent magnet motor allows the SQ/SQE high efficiency output within a wide load range--unlike many of its kind on the market today.

Both models in the SQ series offer five flow sizes from 5 to 30 gpm and a horsepower range of 1/3 to 1.5 Hp. They are available for single-phase power and use a simple 2-wire design, making installation easy

The "E" in the SQE model denotes "electronic", signifying its added ability for end-user communication with the motor. The motor can communicate wirelessly through the SQE's power leads into a status box called the CU300. By being able to communicate with the pump, the end user may change its performance, and thereby have Constant Pressure Control.

Rugged DesignRugged
The SQ/SQE pump design uses "floating" impellers. Each impeller has its own tungsten carbide/ceramic bearing. This design, and its high quality materials make the SQ very wear resistant--especially in sandy conditions.

 Permanent-Magnet MotorMotor
SQ & SQE motors are based on a permanent-magnet rotor which produces high efficiency output within a wide load range. The high and flat efficiency curve of the permanent-magnet motor covers a wide power range with the same motor, as compared to conventional AC motors. The SQE pump, motors range from 1/3 to 1.5 horsepower.

Advanced ElectronicsElectronics
By combining advanced electronics, permanent-magnet motors, and Grundfos' own micro-frequency converter, users are now able to control, and communicate with pumps in ways never before possible. Some of the benefits derived from these features include Constant Pressure Control, Soft-Start and integrated Dry-Run Protection.
