INTERN FOR GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS
What do we offer?
Would you like to join a global governmental affairs function, working in the intersection between business and politics? Develop your competencies by bringing your theoretical toolbox into play? Grundfos Holding A/S is looking for an intern to work in Governmental Affairs during the coming spring semester (January 2018 to July 2018).
What is the job about?
Grab a unique opportunity to join one of Denmark’s most successful companies driven by innovation, sustainability and thus high ambitions. At Grundfos, we develop, produce and sell some of the world’s most efficient and energy saving pumps and pump solutions across the globe. We help our customers save precious natural resources and reduce climate impact.
In Governmental Affairs, we are actively engaged in the global, political debate on some of the world’s most significant challenges: reducing energy consumption and bringing safe water and sanitation to all. We support all parts of the business on political issues and we have a global responsibility. As an intern in Governmental Affairs, you will therefore gain a unique understanding of all parts of the business from top management to sales colleagues at other parts of the world.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be to assist the Governmental Affairs team and the rest of the global communication department. You will work with a broad range of tasks, including:
- Desk research on relevant issues for Grundfos – primarily within energy efficiency and water.
- Analyse the effect of political and legislative developments on Grundfos’ business.
- Support drafting position papers, consultation responses, opinion pieces, speeches etc.
- Support monitoring of written and social media on issues of interest to Grundfos.
- Support senior executive’s interactions with political stakeholders.
- Ad hoc tasks.
As we have numerous other students, you will partake in our internal network hosted by the Graduates in the Grundfos Graduate Programme. Here you can meet with other students to share experiences, gain more insight or just have fun in the “Archimedes’ Club”.
What do you need to apply?
As our potential new intern, you are studying at master’s level – probably within politics, business or law, but the right candidate with another background is relevant as well. You must be able to connect the dots between Grundfos’ business and politics, and knowledge about the water and/or energy sector is a great advantage. You have strong analytical and writing skills, are quality-oriented and organised in your work. You have an international outlook and you speak and write English fluently – it is a great plus if you can also handle French, German or Spanish at a professional level. You are ambitious with the intention to add value to our company and willing to learn.
You will be based at our HQ in Bjerringbro.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Senior Manager, Governmental Affairs Ask Møller-Nielsen at email@example.com. If the position sounds appealing to you, please send your resume and cover letter today and no later than November 24th 2017 by clicking on the link “Søg denne stilling”. Grundfos is currently moving to a global recruiting system to enhance your user experience. Our new system is already live in Germany, USA and Canada and other countries will follow throughout 2017. Due to legislation, we unfortunately cannot transfer existing candidate data to the new system. To keep you updated on opportunities in Grundfos, we kindly ask you to create a talent profile in our new system.
