Use the latest technologies to optimise production
As a software developer, your task is to efficiently develop and maintain cost effective, sustainable IT solutions that are easy to use for the operators in the production plants. Whether it be a smart watch app for monitoring the manufacturing flow or a mobile app for accessing MES-systems, your work will have a direct impact on the production floor.
You will be part of a small and agile team of experienced developers, who all know that our success depends on close collaboration and mutual support. Moreover, you will be working with the latest tools together with experts from our strategic partner Microsoft to utilise the cutting-edge Azure functionality and use IoT for device connectivity in production equipment.
“If you would like to help set the direction for the way software is used in the production area of a global organization, this is the place to be. You will work with dedicated and talented colleagues in an environment where you get to let your curiosity drive you to explore new technologies without knowing where it will lead,” says manager of Production IT Solutions Kristian Kragh.
Develop next generation apps in Azure cloud and .NET
Reporting to the manager of Production IT Solutions, you are part of one of the three development teams in the department in Bjerringbro. In close collaboration with the other two developers in your team, you develop the Microsoft stack of development tools, participate in 3rd level support, ensure the technical and information architecture, and offer systems development as well as training and support business consultancy. You use SCRUM to process the workload, and with quality always in mind, you carry out testing and secure thorough documentation to ensure that your code is easy to maintain. Specifically, you:
- Participate in the development (the) next generation applications in Azure cloud
- Contribute to the maintenance of current platforms and applications
- Contribute to the establishment of new processes for app development
- Collaborate with the software architect for Production IT to ensure that all projects are in alignment with the overall strategy for IT and application architecture.
“In this role, your work will have a direct impact on the manufacturing processes. You will literally be there to see the robot move, and you will get direct feedback from your colleagues on the production floor. Your work is crucial, so it needs to be flawless and fully functional from the outset,” says Kristian Kragh.
Experienced developer with a taste for teamwork
It is an advantage if you are familiar with MES systems and the manufacturing environment, so you understand what it means to deliver tools for a fast-paced production department, where things need to work from the get-go. You like to discuss any issues with the end users to understand their needs, so you can develop the applications that will make a real difference in their daily work. Similarly, you enjoy collaborating with the software architect to design the right solutions and trim the underlying processes that help you stay efficient in your daily work.
- You have experience in .NET and C#, MS SQL databases and object-oriented programming.
- You have experience working with UI interfaces using Win Form, WPF and ASP.NET
- You are familiar with Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, VSTS, TFS and Git.
- You speak and write English fluently. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- It is an advantage if you have an MSc in Information Technology and experience with WCF, EF, MVC, HTML5, Bootstrap, MVVM, TDD and SOLID or integration technologies like SOAP, JSON, XML.
“Needless to say, you are curious about new trends and excited about the prospect of finding ways to make them work for your colleagues on the production floor. And as you will be joining a small and agile team where collaboration is everything, it’s absolutely crucial that you are a team player through and through,” says Kristian Kragh.
