2 Embedded Software Developers

Would you like to help build a brand-new team working with platform development and continuous integration in advanced controller products – and to make your ideas count? In Grundfos, we are taking development to the next level using IoT and digitalisation as central elements in doubling our business. If you wish to develop your skills, learning about our products and applications and using the latest technology, this is your chance.

Develop software for advanced controller products based on customer needs

You will be responsible for specifying and designing prototypes and tailored solutions for pump controllers. You will do so based on business and/or customer needs in close collaboration with the developers in Denmark and China. Together, you create simple solutions to complex challenges, translate market insights into specifications, develop the embedded software, and verify the solution.

Ultimately, your aim is to develop great, well-tested solutions that meet project deadline. Also, you will get the opportunity to work and carry out research with universities and other companies to strengthen your skills even further.

“We primarily use IAR Compilers, Visual Studio, CPP Unit and SeqZap in our work, and we constantly want to develop our technology. There will be a lot to learn, and your challenge will be to understand the products and systems to enhance them further,” Anne says.

Help start up a new team

Your new team will be based in our Pump and Controls department in Bjerringbro and is part of our large, international software organization of 110 colleagues. Together, you will work closely with experienced developers in China, and you will play a significant role in building and shaping the team. Through Scrum and sprints, you and your colleagues will develop on some of our most advanced controller products working closely with the product owner and customers along the way.

Everyone in this new team will be able to influence the way we work together and with stakeholders. This new team is receiving great attention from top management and will be essential in doubling our business in the Water Utility segment. People from our entire global organization support this team, so you will be off to a flying start,” says Manager Anne Katrine Windfeld.

What do you need to apply?

  • Most likely, you are a software engineer. Whether you have some years of experience or have recently graduated, most important to us is your desire to build high quality solutions and expand your knowledge.
  • You have experience in working with embedded software development in all phases of the development process – requirements, design, implementation, testing and verification.
  • It is a plus if you have experience with automated testing, agile development/SCRUM, and perhaps you know IAR Compilers, Visual Studio, CPP Unit and/or SeqZap.
  • It is an advantage if you have been doing platform development and continuous development and integration. And it is a plus if you know Git and/or Jira.
  • You speak and write English effortlessly.

"On a personal level, you know how to collaborate with colleagues across countries and cultures as well as with customers. And you understand the importance of expanding your knowledge and network. Rather than waiting for things to happen, you take a proactive approach, finding answers and creating solutions. And as a true team player, you are excited at the opportunity to help build a team from scratch,” Anne says.
