What's new in WinCAPS 2012.01?
A lot of improvements have been implemented in the new edition of WinCAPS. You will find a list below divided in 2 main groups Software and data.
Software
Pressure boosting Sizing
- Load profile was changed to allow 10 duty points.
- Control mode was changed so default all control modes are selected.
- Changes done to main page of pressure boosting sizing page.
Waste water Sizing
- Added suction side pressure loss in print.
- Pipe calculations changed so the dimension doesn’t have to be in order with the largest dimension first and decreasing size for the following pipes.
- Changed curve viewer to display Curve points correct when a none E-pump is selected.
- Added the possibility of having a negative suction head when sizing.
- When selecting the ”ES” curve the scale is changed to 0 – 1.
- Wrong linking in sizing made ”dry installation” unavailable in sizing. This problem is now corrected.
- Minimum allowed frequency of Waste water pump changed. Will now allow operation down to 25 Hz.
- The main sizing page for Waste water is updated with new default values.
Renewable
- Water volume field was changed so it’s not changed after user input.
- The calculation of thin film PV modules is improved
- Sizing tabels are updated so they now show correct values.
Other changes:
- Link to catalogue is now available from sizing.
- Literature search is updated to align search and output across product families
- Changes done to renewable to better support US units
- Solar tracking in renewable is now taken into account
- Calculation of chamgerlength of MTR in sizing was updated
- Double output for each pump in hitlist was corrected
- IRR ( Interest rate of retun ) is was added to the life cycle cost calculation
