Circuit breaker

A circuit breaker is a device that protects against overcurrent.

At a predetermined overcurrent the circuit breaker opens and closes a circuit automatically. When the circuit breaker is applied correctly within its rating, opening and closing the circuit breaker causes it no damage.

It is easy to reactivate the circuit breaker immediately after an overload has occurred. The circuit breaker is simply reset after the fault is corrected.
