Cooling surface

A cooling surface is used for cooling of outside air before injection into the building. A cooling surface can be an integrated part of an AHU or placed directly in an air injection duct.

A cooling surface can be an integrated part of an AHU or placed directly in an air injection duct. The cooling surface is used for cooling of outside air before injection into the building. The injection temperature is adapted to match the actual cooling needs in the building.

Injection of air at an inadequate temperature can create a poor indoor climate due to draughts, “cold spots” etc. The cooling surface consists of a number of parallel pipes with lamellas attached. The lamellas are mounted in several rows, perpendicular to airflow.
There are different types of cooling surfaces:

  • Water-based cooling surfaces
  • Brine-based cooling surfaces
  • Freon-based cooling surfaces
