Class Descriptions:
Groundwater 101: Class includes basic hydraulics, pump fundamentals, pump selection using pump and system curves, and motors. Groundwater Extended Basics includes motor cooling, water table dynamics, and basic installation. Fixed and variable speed products are presented. Overall energy and cost savings are also discussed. Class includes laboratory activities but is not a service class.
HVAC 101: This class includes open and closed systems, wet and dry runner circulators, pump and system curves, and motor basics; how to best utilize product and technical guides will also be emphasized, along with definitions, system examples, hydronic heating, components, single and multi-loop layouts, zoning, primary/secondary, boiler/system protection, hot water recirculation solutions for residential, commercial, and retrofit applications.
Commercial/Industrial 101: For both the industrial and commercial building service markets, this class provides training on hydraulics, pump fundamentals, pump and system curves, motors, boiler feed applications, multistage pumping, chemical compatibility, and technical guide usage. All types of the Grundfos CR pump are examined with hands on exercises in the laboratory. There is a break out session to feature products specific to industry or Commercial Building Services applications. Additionally brief presentations on Dosing, Immersibles, and Boosters will be given.
BoosterpaQ 101: Specially designed for BoosterpaQ distributors and dealers, this course will equip you to sell BoosterpaQs and E-Pumps. Topics will focus on sizing/selecting, real world application theory, sales strategy, and key features/benefits. Instruction will also take place in our state-of-the art laboratory with hands-on activities using our live pumping systems.
(Pre-requisite for BoosterpaQ 201).
BoosterpaQ 201: Class developed by a service department engineer to cover basic electrical theory, components, transformers, safety, and schematics. Hands on operation and programming of Grundfos E-Pumps, BoosterpaQ systems, and Drives conducted in the laboratory with some trouble-shooting.
Dosing 101: This course will help develop the relevant vocabulary and technical expertise to enable the attendee to effectively deal with dosing pump applications and concepts. The agenda includes chemical properties, pump mechanics, product families, performance and selection, plus the use of technical guides. Laboratory exercises will show installation, controls, calibration, rate adjustments and assembly. |
