Life Cycle Assessment Specialist 1


What's this job about?


The LCA specialist is part of the EHS Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Group EHS, and responsible for developing and maintaining LCA models for the Grundfos product portfolio, developing EPDs on selected products and running various LCA projects within the organisation. The LCA specialist supports product management and product development teams in defining and meeting environmental requirements and ensure customer demands are met. The LCA specialist also contributes to defining and implementing an efficient workflow for LCA and EPD projects.



Major Tasks



EHS Intelligence Centre of Excellence – LCA data and models, environmental product declarations and product development support


LCA data and models (40%)

  • Develop and maintain LCA models on selected products and systems in GaBi
  • Develop LCA reports and documentation
  • Ensure efficient processes for data collection and handling throughout the supply chain
  • Provide LCA tools, data and support within the organisation
    Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) (50%)
  • Develop and maintain EPDs on selected products
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation


Other tasks (10%)

  • Dissemination of LCA methodology and results within the organisation
  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests



Expected traveling between Headquarter and Denmark 4-6 times per year with duration of maximum 5 days per travel.


Required job qualifications


Educational background could be Engineer or similar.

Experience with LCA methodology and LCA software/databases required (e.g. GaBi or SimaPro)

Knowledge of different materials, products and manufacturing processes and their environmental impacts

Excellent English skills in speech and writing

Experienced MS Excel user

Experienced in handling large amounts of data

Strong analytic skills

High focus on details

SAP knowledge an advantage but not required

Service minded: It comes naturally to support companies globally (by mail, phone, web-meeting)

Ability to coordinate and self-manage your tasks within your job description
