Senior Project Manager for Manufacturing Development

Welcome to Grundfos Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME)

Our Vision in Grundfos is to pioneer solutions to the world’s water and climate challenges and improve quality of life for people. We want to be a global leader in providing solutions to SDG #6 and #13. If you are ready to take part in realising our vision, here is your chance to be part of a global function and play a vital role in driving development and implementation projects for global manufacturing.

You will join the AME Centre of Excellence within Hydraulic. Here, we work with an end-to-end responsibility of the Hydraulic Core Technology areas besides supporting the organization with cross functional solutions. This means that we have an early involvement in the new product development, developing technology and platforms, execution of implementation projects and a responsibility of managing and improving the existing production solutions.

“In this role you will lead projects for implementation of manufacturing solutions for new developed products or increase the capacity of existing. This requires you have a strong technical background, a good structure and process focus in your daily work. Besides this you have a passion for production technology and a dedication for improving and obtaining targets for production performance.” explains Manager, Morten Houlind Simonsen.

What is the job about?

As Senior Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to execute our implementation projects of production technology. The projects support the product development with production setups to get new products to the market. You will join a strong team of specialists within mechanical and electrical design and programmers of PLC’s and robots.

The department is responsible for development, implementation and sourcing of Automatic solutions for Grundfos Manufacturing. No matter if the solution is a make or a buy the team should be involved to secure the deliveries according to standards.

You should expect 10-20 travel days a year, visiting partners and factories for implementation. Your daily work will be from our headquarter in Bjerringbro, Denmark.

“Your task is to plan and successfully keep the project milestones, cost and quality. You do this by structured plans and frequent follow-up. As project responsible you will monitor potential risks and challenges and report to management on progress and issues that is preventing you from keeping the milestone plan” Morten explains.

Who should apply?

You are an outgoing person with a strong working structure and overview of tasks. You enjoy leading a team and are curious and passionate about production technology. You keep track of remaining issues and you are persistent when it comes to problem-solving. You are self-driven, motivating and cooperating with the team to meet targets. Moreover, the project manager is responsible for communication to the project team, management and other stakeholders and you monitor, summarize and report progress to management.

Furthermore, you:

  • Hold an Engineering degree within Mechanical or Electrical engineering or similar
  • Have at least 5 years of experience with Project Management. Less experienced project managers are also welcome to apply
  • Are production oriented, with a good business understanding
  • Speak and write English effortlessly
