Senior Director of Global Indirect Purchasing

Our strategic sourcing and purchase to pay processes are undergoing change while we work to enhance collaboration between all involved parts even further. This is your opportunity to take charge of changes in our global indirect purchasing function.

 

A position with significant strategic focus

In our headquarters in Bjerringbro, you will be given the key to Global Indirect Purchasing – a function with a yearly spend of about 5 billion DKK and 30 talented people working with a wide purchasing portfolio that encompasses all indirect materials and services, including logistics, facility management, travelling, IT, MRO, HR, marketing and consultancy.

 

As the director, you will focus on strategy and process development and execution as well as talent management as the function grows. More specifically, you will:

 

  • Further define and implement the indirect purchasing strategy
  • Gain an overview of and govern indirect purchase activities and spend at a global level
  • Lead and further develop the indirect purchasing organisation, which includes coaching, talent retention, recruitment, etc.  
  • Lead and coordinate key sourcing projects to deliver savings and fulfil internal customer needs
  • Lead major supplier relationships
  • Travel approximately 30-50% of the time – mainly within Europe but also globally – to form strong relations with international purchasing functions and many others

Apart from being a strong leader, with great networking and intercultural negotiation capabilities, you have a talent for building and transforming, and you know how to drive and implement change for the long run. You also have ability to coach and develop your own team, ensuring it grows and performs its best while keeping up with the changes you implement.

 

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

 

  • Hold a degree in business, engineering or equivalent
  • Have solid proven experience as a director within indirect sourcing at global or regional level
  • Speak fluent English
