Grundfos in Saudi Arabia is currently in need of a skilled and motivated Senior Service Specialist to support the existing Service team in providing a high level of after sales service and customer service for Grundfos customers. This individual will be stationed in our Riyadh office reporting to the Service Manager.

What is the job about?

As a Senior Service Engineer you will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, repair and start-ups on pumps and controls travelling to and from customer sites & workshops.

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Hands on mechanical repairs or replacements of pumps/spare parts for Grundfos diversified range of pumps either on-site or at Grundfos workshop.
  • Hands on electrical and control repairs for Grundfos wide range motors, VFDs and controls.
  • Inspection visits for various reasons among which are root cause analysis, energy audits, consultancy, etc.
  • Supervision on installation of mega projects or large classified products.
  • Commissioning/startup for Grundfos mega projects or complex/large products.
Job responsibilities (cntd.)
  • Handling, confidentially, any product early warning through the correct process till securing customer satisfaction with minimal level of disappointment from any product defect at warranty period.
  • Judging warranty period failures whether warranty cases or operational faults. 
  • Partially managing Authorized Service Partner accounts.
  • Technical support from the point of view of product knowledge.
  • Conduct trainings and seminars internally and externally for basic and advanced pump theories, aside from Service trainings that are occasionally requested by customers.
  • Attend customer meetings and strive for creating opportunities of service contracts and similar leads of aftersales with the aid of Service Sales Engineer.
  • Creating reports for any warranty case to be reported to our quality department.
  • Ensure that the Grundfos global Service policy is successfully implemented on SAP.
What do you need to apply?

To be considered for this position you should fulfill the following requirements:

Professional

  • Must have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role
  • Strong competence and experience in servicing pumps, hydraulics, motor controls or rotating equipment
  • Must be able to perform advanced pump service/maintenance activities, with the ability to accurately take measurements, complete documentation, and reference proper standards/documentation to ensure quality craftsmanship.
  • Individuals with experience in servicing similar/other high value, technically complex electro-mechanical products will also be considered.
  • Understanding of pressure, temperature and other operating conditions and ability to service pumps in a production environment.
Professional requirements (cntd.)
  • Read and interpret service instructions and IOMs for assembly, repair, reassembly and operation as required including completion of reports in either paper or electronic form.
  • Experience using SAP and CRM would be an advantage.
  • Preferably with digital and electronic skills and experience.
Personal
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with customers and fellow employees, with proactive, friendly and problem-solving approach.
  • Capable to work in work environments ranging from a workshop to on-site at construction/building/industrial facilities.
  • Handle a variety of tools and processes; able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 20 kg.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems.
  • Must be fluent in English.
