As Business Development Manager in Water Utility you will take a leading role in the execution of our 2025 strategy. You will be part of Grundfos´ ambitious new standards for water and energy in the world and maintain Grundfos as a global leader and support the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) number 6 Clean Water & Sanitation, and number 13 Climate Action.
You will join the Business Development team of four dedicated and experienced colleagues and report to the Director, Water Utility, Business Development.
We are responsible for creating the global strategic ambition, developing offerings and leading business development initiatives to grow the Water Utility business. We are also commercial experts in new offering launches and support our sales companies.
You will mainly focus on commercial initiatives securing that our offerings succeed in the market and with our customers.
You will be responsible for our Partner Community for Water Utility Distributors worldwide. The Business Development Manager role is essential for the development and implementation of initiatives that empower this community, increasing sales and competencies in our distribution channel. Our goal is to make our distributors the best advisors considering the customers entire value chain for the best energy and water solution.
One of your key activities will be to grow this community and develop high level content, training and a peer-to-peer network that supports our distributors value creation opportunities. You will drive the social media content and communication strategy for the community as well as onboard, guide and support the sales organizations worldwide on how to execute the community program in their region.
For our internal organization you will likewise be responsible for establishing a strong global network of internal application experts with the purpose of strengthening our water utility customers and end-user insight globally ensuring Grundfos maintains leadership and market relevance in our portfolio of pumps and digital offerings but also raising application and solution knowledge among our sales force.
You will collaborate very closely with Sales and Marketing as well as Water Utility experts around the world and you will also contribute to the formulation, communication and reporting of the Water Utility global 2025 strategy.
The position is preferably based at headquarters in Bjerringbro, Denmark.
- Master's Degree - technical with commercial experience or commercial with technical experience
- Minimum six years of experience from a similar position in an international context
- Experience from the water sector - either on the end-user, channel partner or supplier side
- Experience from technical and complex sales would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills on all levels and able to influence stakeholders across the organization – vertically as well as horizontally
- Experience in identifying, mobilizing and heading several projects simultaneously
- Strong relationship builder across different cultures and business areas inside and outside Grundfos
- Proficient in English - Danish is not a requirement
- Travel activity up to 50 days per year
