What do we offer?
Are you passionate about mechatronics and motivated by developing new technologies that contribute to solving the world´s water and climate challenges? Grundfos has a strong focus on digitalization in the endeavor to bring forth energy efficient and sustainable solutions. Sensors and sensor solutions are an important part of this course. You will play a significant role in identifying and integrating new sensor technology in our pumps and pump solutions.
You will join a group of highly professional and dedicated sensor specialists. The department develops ways of utilizing sensors as an enabeler for the digital offerings - here sensors play an essential role in providing datapoints and we see a growing demand for more and more sensor solutions.
In our department you will find a dynamic mix of mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, physicists and signal processing specialists, and our success is based on a strong cross-disciplinary collaboration.
"We work across fields of competencies and spar with each other, so you will get a broad understanding of electronics, mechanics and material science while using and developing your expertise within mechatronics and sensors." explains Michael.
What is the job about?
As our new sensor specialist, you will be involved in all aspects of the technology development. From early ideas, to scouting and evaluation of new technologies to prototypes and matured technology concepts or testing and evaluation of concepts we purchase. Quality and robustness are of high importance to Grundfos and therefore the validation of our concepts and technologies is a considerable part of the job. We work hands-on in our labs to get the best learning and understanding of the sensors and the applications they are used in.
"Sensors is a challenging, but also rewarding domain. There is a multitude of parameters we can measure and even more measuring principles. The demands for accuracy, quality and robustness are high while the sensor solutions must be very cost effective. We need to understand the application and work cross disciplinary to achieve the best optimum in cost, performance and design." says Michael.
What do you need to apply?
You hold a master´s degree within engineering, preferably within mechatronics, electrical engineering or applied physics. The key to success in this job is your ability and desire to work cross-disciplinary and to challenge yourself to develop a broad technical profile. Ideally you have a few years of experience, however we also welcome newly graduated engineers. Hands-on experience with sensors is a plus but not a prerequisite. You are proficient in English.
"As a person, you are outgoing and enjoy working together with your immediate colleagues and other parts of the organisation. You are structured and conscientious - ensuring high-quality and on-time deliverables - and you possess the flexibility to support more projects at the same time and manage changes in the project portfolio. Finally, it is essential that you have the curiosity and ambition to continuously learn and build your knowledge and skills." finishes Michael.
You are welcome to contact Michael R. S. Hansen, Head of Sensors, Core Technology on +45 29 33 56 82 if you have any questions. Please send your resume and cover letter as soon as possible and no later than September 24, 2020 by clicking the link "Apply for this job". We evaluate applications on a continuous basis.
