“As a master planner, you drive and control our monthly sales and operations planning process. You have a major impact on the performance of our plant. The overview you have on customer demand, product platforms, supply chains and inventory are crucial for the success of SCM. In close collaboration with the management team and your colleagues, locally as well as across the global group of Grundfos, you provide value for our customers every day,” explains Planning Manager, Jonas Kjærgaard.
SCM in Grundfos Bjerringbro consist of three primary departments, each situated locally at the production plants together with the other supporting functions Quality and Manufacturing Engineering. You will join a planning department of 16 employees, who cover tasks from planning, procurement, master planning, continuous improvement and product introductions. We have an informal environment and we love a laugh. It must be fun to perform.
You will learn our complexity through continuous improvements of our planning setup, and you will work on optimization together with production. In parallel you will get more and more involved in master planning tasks. The primary task of the master planner is to drive and execute our monthly sales and operations planning process for the plant. This involves an analytical task of collecting quantitative inputs from structured data sources as well as using your people skills to reach out to colleagues around the world to validate and understand data.
The plans you make serves as an enabler for effective production, high delivery performance and controlled inventory levels. You are strong in communication and presenting and succeed in receiving commitment from the plant management.
You review and develop our manufacturing planning and control concept and drive alignment of our master data. With this insight you create accurate inventory projections and you spot improvement potential – big and small.
A background within supply chain and/or production
As a person, you are flexible and a great communicator that can interact with people on all levels of the organization. You are analytical and structured in your work.
- You hold a MSc in engineering within supply chain or operations management or a MSc in Economics & Business Administration with a supply chain specialization.
- You preferably have few years of experience within the field, or you are a recent graduate with a lot of “can do attitude” and willingness to learn
- You have strong Excel skills, and it is a plus if you have experience with ERP systems e.g. SAP
- You speak and write English fluently, and mastery of Danish is a must
