Electronics Engineer for R&D

Would you like to pioneer the next generation of sustainable Grundfos pump solutions?

As part of our global R&D organization, you will join a group of highly competent project managers and drive dedicated electronics and mechanics specialists to help tackle the world’s climate challenges.

What do we offer?

Do you have electronics design experience and mechatronic insight? And would you like an exciting and challenging position where you work with complete development cycles from idea to finished products?

You will be based in Bjerringbro, Denmark and join Electronic Development within Product and Offerings Development. We are responsible for developing software, electronics and mechanical housings for all Grundfos products. Here, you will get to work with a number of skilled and dedicated engineers with either mechanical or electronic expertise focusing on cross-functional mechatronic solutions. You report to Senior Manager Jørgen Vest Sørensen:

“You will join a successful global company where you will get to work with the latest technology within mechatronic solutions. Here, you will collaborate with skilled specialists and have the chance to further develop your skills,” Jørgen says.

Develop electronics for complex pump solutions

As Electronics Engineer, you work on all phases of the development projects from early idea to verification of the final product. Your will be part of the electronic team in the project, and typically design micro controller peripherals, user interfaces, I/O, field busses or wireless interfaces.

Doing so, you will build a network of internal stakeholders, including Engineers in our Core Technology departments as well as Process Specialists in our own Electronics Factory.

As an Electronics engineer you play a central role in the product design as our products are highly integrated. You will use your skills to:

  • Create innovative products by implementing new technologies or solutions from our platform
  • Optimize and verify the design by use of simulation and test
  • Make sure the design can be efficiently produced together with our Electronics Factory
  • Verify product compliance typically towards VDE or UL

“In this position, a key challenge will be to create an optimal design which meets our high-quality standards and at the same time is cost effective,” Jørgen says.

Electronic Engineer

You most likely have a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering. You have some years of experience working within product development having both the technical and quality assurance knowledge. It would be an advantage if you have simulation experience within this area and/or have experience with wireless communication systems, field busses/ethernet as well as an understanding of the benefits of standardized components and solutions - and how these can be reused in several projects. Finally, you speak and write English at a high level and it would be a plus if you also speak Danish.

“As a person, you are outgoing, have a high drive and enjoy working with others. This is important since you will be collaborating with colleagues across the organization as well as with the public authorities on electrical safety etc. Also, in your daily work, you are both pragmatic when we need a solution fast but you also thrive doing in-depth research and development to find more long-term and durable solutions,” Jørgen says.
