We are looking for a manager to lead a team for IT Software Development
What do we offer?
As our new Manager, you will lead a IT Software Development team within the IS Sales, Marketing and Service solution organization living up to our leadership principles in Grundfos. Your overall global team consist of 25-30 professional software developers based in the Philippines and Denmark. The mission of the team is to develop high quality software solutions for a significant number of our direct Customer Facing tools, backend solutions as well for integrations in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders in Grundfos and relevant suppliers.

What is the job about?
Being responsible for the IT Software Development team deliveries and performance, you set the direction, provide guidance, plan and secure competences and motivate your employees to achieve their objectives. Also, you develop the plans to build an efficient, productive and harmonious work environment, and secure the team has the right mix of talent, training and development.
Furthermore, you participate and take ownership of our “Excellence in Software Development” initiative for further strengthen our work with software development within Grundfos. “Excellence in Software Development” is based upon known frameworks, ie. CMMI.
You will be challenged in agile transformation and by that also agile supply models. We firmly believe in agile working methods (ie. SCRUM), which is why in March 2020 we have chosen to build and start 6 Product Teams with team members coming from different parts of our Sales and IT organizations.
As a Manager you will also be facing the global environment of Grundfos and by that navigating with different cultures.
You will become part of the IS leadership team for Sales, Marketing & Service solutions which is a part IS Information Solution division in Grundfos IS.
What do you need to apply?
To meet the demands of the position as Manager, you need to be good at navigating in complexities, different cultures, those related to your position as well as to life in a large, global business with different stakeholders. It is important that you have a structured approach to your work, which allows you to keep track of and handle different tasks and challenges at the same time.
Furthermore, you are positive, persistent and ready for the challenge of managing a global cross-cultural team. You can set direction for skilled, independent employees, and know by instinct when to provide guidance and when to take a more anonymous approach. Accordingly, you need to have good communication skills, e.g. to facilitate leadership decisions, build your network and selling the team’s ideas and solutions.
- Could come from a similar position or a proven track record as PM been leading several software development projects
- Have experience with people leadership
- Experience working within agile organizations operating ie. Product Teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and incorporate the principles of this culture across the development team
- Solid knowledge and experience working with a variety of programming languages [both client and server side], software development processes and Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, XP, Test Driven Development, etc.).
- Experience with the architecture principles and design patterns of many applications including web applications, Integration/middleware, and Business Intelligence.
- Team building/collaboration.
- Speak and write English fluently
