Lead Cloud Architect

What is the job about?
We address our customers in four main business areas. Each area has its own unique requirements but many requirements go across and part of your coming task will be to help facilitate an architecture that allow for uniqueness, shared services and maintainability.

You will also play a role in growing our range of partnerships and products with leading IoT players such as Microsoft, Siemens and Alibaba.

As our Lead Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for our offering cloud architecture and work closely with your future team of Lead Systems Engineers. The team is responsible for the Grundfos Systems of Systems architecture and works with the architecture in an INCOSE Systems Engineering framework.

We expect that you will drive our cloud architectures across and jointly with developers in our offering teams. Outside our Digital Development organization but inside Grundfos you will work with the IT Enterprise Architects and our pump product architects and application experts.
Our Digital Development offering teams are highly cross-functional with our business colleagues and customers setting the direction.


We work in a scrum team setup inspired by SAFe. You will not be in one particular team but supporting activities across teams in both Denmark and China.

You will:

You will be part of an international cross-team chapter of equally minded cloud developers and architects with high digital ambitions. The chapter consists of talented colleagues, who are located in different teams, joined together by their field of expertise, looking to share the best solutions and thereby further evolve the collaboration and coordination between the different offering teams.

What do you need to apply?
You need to be proactive and engaged which means that you like to tackle challenges head on with a constructive, positive and creative attitude. It is essential that you have strong collaboration skills and want to work as part of a team. You are an eager learner of new things and keep yourself updated with latest trends within your area. You naturally have a customer focused mindset and is used to seeing things from an end-user perspective.


  • You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Several years of experience in your field of expertise
  • You are familiar with systems engineering, possibly certified within INCOSE
  • You have a natural relationship towards TDD/Test and Debug and modern DevOps principles; CI/CD Pipelines, Automated testing and Infrastructure as code
  • Preferably, you have experience with the application of the above technologies towards:
    • distributed systems and messaging technologies.
    • reusing building block in a multi cloud setup
    • C#.NET Core and React with TypeScript
    • SQL and NoSQL data storage
    • container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry
    • IoT in commercial and home automation applications
    • You have deep knowledge of one for more cloud vendor platforms
    • You have experience in Frontend and Backend technologies and native Apps
    • You have excellent English skills – verbally and in writing
