Senior Backend Developer

What is the job about? 
CBS Digital is the digital execution vehichle for our Business Unit Commercial Building Services (CBS). The CBS Digital agile product team is through the BuildingConnect platform delivering multiple digital offerings.
The MIXIT product enables the customer to create simple Mixing Loops in HVAC installations. When the customer buys MIXIT, it will be possible to connect it to the BuildingConnect platform and be able to monitor the product. Further on the customer can upgrade to a professional version getting access to extended monitoring, alarms and remote control.

BuildingConnect for Heating is a complete digital solution for smaller commercial buildings. The system offers facility managers continuous optimization of the plant room in i.e. hotels and schools and delivers monitoring, alarms and remote control.  

 

As our new Senior Backend Developer, you will work closely with 6-9 colleagues in a cross-functional scrum team setup. Your daily tasks will consist of participating in any team activities and contributing with your expertise of backend development towards the common team goal of creating working software each sprint. You will also be responsible for the training and support of the developers.

You will also be part of an international cross-team chapter of equally minded developers with high digital ambitions. The chapter consists of talented colleagues, who are located in different teams, joint together by their field of expertise, looking to share the best solutions and thereby further evolve the collaboration and coordination between the different offering teams.

What do you need to apply? 
You need to be proactive and engaged which means that you like to tackle challenges head on with a constructive, positive and creative attitude. It is essential that you have strong collaboration skills and want to work as part of a team. You are an eager learner of new things and keep yourself updated with latest trends within your area. You naturally have a customer focused mindset/customer empathy and is used to seeing things from an end-user perspective.
Furthermore
•    You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
•    You are a good communicator
•    Several years of real world experience in your field of expertise
•    You have experience in Backend development, including C# and .NetCore 3.x / EF Core 
•    You have experience working with Azure Services
•    You have experience working with Services and RESTful APIs
•    You are interested in Test Driven Development 
•    You are familiar with modern DevOps principles: CI/CD Pipelines, Automated testing and Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes)
•    Bonus – you have experience with the application of the above technologies towards:
•    IOT Device management and visualisation 
•    Commercial building heating management
•    Dynamic device profiling and configuration
•    Device Telemetry and Event handling
•    Device Alarm and Event handling
•    Cloud services deployment, operation and scaling
•    Bonus – you have experience in Frontend development using different frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) in order to support the “T” sharped footprint within the team.
•    You have excellent English skills – verbally and in writing
