Grundfos takes over Brazilian pump factory

The factory manufactures pumps for industrial purposes, fire fighting and water supplies and is one of the main suppliers to the Brazilian pump market. The company employs 130 staff and has an annual turnover of USD 8 million.

According to Executive Vice President, Jens Jørgen Madsen, the acquisition of Mark Peerless SA means that Grundfos raises its profile on the Brazilian market and creates a solid foundation for the manufacture of both Mark and Grundfos products. In addition Grundfos gets an opportunity to supply a range of well-known, well-tried and tested products to all South American markets. As a natural consequence, the Group’s know-how will also be incorporated in the Mark Pumps Ltda’s products, said mr Madsen.

The knowledge and work procedures of the two companies will be merged in order to optimise synergy and improve distribution, service and customer focus on an ongoing basis.
