Grundfos Distributed Pumping: Grundfos awarded with prestigious innovation award in the United Arab Emirates

At the recent Annual Climate Control Awards, Grundfos was recognised for its groundbreaking solutions within the HVAC industry.

At this year’s ceremony, held under the patronage of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Grundfos took home the most coveted prize.

Named after the founder of Climate Control magazine, the Dominic De Sousa Award for Innovation is reserved for organisations that have created a paradigm shift within their area of expertise.

It is awarded to organisations that, through technology, contribute to vast improvements across HVAC systems as a whole, by helping alleviate long-standing issues that have plagued the category and its systems.

Through its unique approach and game-changing innovation in Distributed Pumping, Grundfos was judged to be a more than deserving winner, having indeed, created a paradigm shift in chilled water systems.

With a Distributed Pumping application that enables HVAC systems to be self-balancing, indoor climates and user comfort are vastly improved within buildings. As such, Grundfos is known to have an outstanding solution.

However, according to the jury, it’s the system’s ability to use technology to generate  unparalleled energy savings, that sets it apart from the competition.

What’s more, they recognised its importance as a system within the industry, deeming it significant enough to herald in a new era of energy efficiency, within buildings and district cooling networks.

Replacing traditional balancing and control valves with intelligent pumps, Grundfos’ Distributed Pumping solution significantly reduces pump energy and also improves the HVAC plant Delta T, which has a huge impact on energy use.

Ultimately, Grundfos Distributed Pumping is the most efficient way of circulating chilled water in HVAC systems today. Its ability to take building comfort and efficiency to new, unparalleled levels, saving OPEX, commissioning time and energy, is helping shape the industry.

Take a look at the video for more on the principles of Grundfos Distributed Pumping for commercial buildings and discover how it permits full control of chilled water systems, minimises costs and ensures a more comfortable indoor climate.

Grundfos is always proud to be acknowledged by the industry, both in the Middle East and globally.

With Grundfos also scooping the award for Manufacturer/Supplier of the Year (Chilled water system equipment and components, less chillers) at the ceremony, Ronak Monga, Lead Sales Developer, Commercial Building Services, commented on the wins:

‘We are not only producing the most innovative solutions, we are also ensuring that we continue to push our industry forward through knowledge sharing and by positioning unique and differentiated technologies that create value for all stakeholders in the Building Services industry’.

‘We are proud to work for an organisation that thrives on innovation, and which helps solve the two most pressing challenges facing the world – water and climate change. We continue to work and strive towards ushering the next generation of water solutions into commercial buildings’, he concluded.
