Grundfos is the world's largest pump manufacturer

In a fresh statement from Europe’s largest association of industrial enterprises – the German VDMA – Grundfos maintains it position as the world leader in pumps and pumps systems.

”Considering the global economic crisis we are proud and happy that Grundfos strengthens its position further. The whole organisation was able to adapt to the new situation in a short time. Therefore we have pulled through and have reached the goal with a reasonable result, proving that we are still leaders in our field. The fact that we are still the world’s largest manufacturer underlines that our global presence, comprehensive competences and product programme make us stronger and ready for the future”, says Group Executive Vice President, Mr. Søren Ø Sørensen.

Renewed strength in several places
Grundfos has entered 2010 with new strength, and the first months have shown that more important markets are back on the growth track.

”We do not believe that the consequences of the crisis will disappear in 2010. The coming year will not have massive growth, but we expect a weak growth. For example we see that Russia and more Central European countries are developing well. Also China is developing positively. We put sustainability in front in the way we think and run the business. And there is increased focus on energy saving behaviour, new energy types and sustainable production”, Mr Sørensen states.

Grundfos intends to maintain the position as the world’s largest pump manufacturer by means of a continued massive aiming at research and development.
