Grundfos LIFELINK impresses film star

A Grundfos LIFELINK unit is a sustainable water supply installation, based on state-of-the-art technology and developed particularly for developing countries. A unit consists of a pump and a solar panel as well as a payment system at which the users pay a symbolic amount of money by means of cell phones to ensure enough money will be available for maintenance.

”Incredible”, Ms Barrymore called the technology in a video, while being shown how the village people use their cell phones for getting the water flow from the tap.

- Before, the women had to walk for seven kilometres to get water in small amounts and that made life beyond difficult, she said.
