Hosted by world leading pump manufacturer, Grundfos, and long-time local partner, Arabi & Co, the event was designed to increase knowledge and awareness of Grundfos’ new smart pumping systems and applications and provide a forum to build relationships and discuss technical issues with local tradesmen whose daily life revolves around Grundfos products.
The plumber day event was the culmination of a 2 month long digital campaign aimed at creating awareness and engaging local craftsmen and homeowners.
Covering social media as well as search enginges, Arabi held auditions for the local
installers on 13th and 14th November at their showroom where installers completed the task of answering a myriad of technical questions related to the Scala2, CMBE and PF pump applications.
The top 10 achieving participants from these auditions were then selected for the final round of the competition, during which they were scored on assembling a pump
within a strict timeframe and with the added pressure of the spectators. The
exercise allowed plumbers to demonstrate their installer competencies and mimic
situations from their actual work-life.
The competition winner was announced during the plumber event, along with details of Arabi’s top purchaser for 2019. These announcements were followed by a raffle draw for all attendees, with big prizes on offer, and finally a dinner.
