Grundfos Gulf’s commitment to Quality has been recognized, once again, with the award of the updated ISO 9001.2015 – ISO’s latest flagship quality management standard, now recognized the world over as the measure of a company’s ability to offer products and services of consistent high quality.
Achieving the amended standard, which was introduced in 2015 to better reflect the changing business environment and move towards more complex global supply chains, required a major review and re-assessment of all of the company’s business systems and procedures, and involved more than 12 months of intensive planning by Grundfos Gulf’s Quality department.
It involved every employee and every business function, who had to work together in close co-operation to achieve the demanding standards required by ISO.
“Quality is an essential element of Grundfos’ DNA – it comes first in everything we do – particularly here in Grundfos Gulf where we are dealing with unique set of challenges”, said General Manager, Kostas Poulopoulos.
“It was crucial that individuals and departments worked closely together to complete the changes required to working methods and practices ahead of the ISO assessment in late 2017, and I am grateful to everyone for what they have achieved – despite the additional challenges posed by a multicultural working environment.”
The prestigious ISO 9001.2015 certificate was presented to Mr. Poulopoulos by Colin Rushmere, General Manager of Compliance and Risk for BSI Middle East, Turkey and Africa, at a special ceremony on 30th January.
In recognition of their contribution, all company’s employees were invited to participate in the ceremony, further underlining the importance of this achievement to Grundfos Gulf.
