Grundfos invests in groundwater industry through NGWA partnership

Grundfos, a global leader in water technology, today announced that it will donate more than half of its 2020 Groundwater Week exhibit space budget to the National Groundwater Association (NGWA), in addition to participating as a Platinum Industry Supporter in the association’s virtual Groundwater Week. The funds will directly support development and innovation in the groundwater industry.

“NGWA Groundwater Week is a staple event that supports a uniquely important market,” said Dan Story, Grundfos vice president of sales for groundwater and irrigation. “We fully support NGWA’s decision to ensure everyone’s health and safety by making the event virtual. To help offset the financial impact of this decision, Grundfos is investing in NGWA and the future of the industry.”

Groundwater Week showcases cutting-edge groundwater technology and hosts educational sessions led by top industry experts. The event is the groundwater industry’s largest event of the year and the main source of revenue for the NGWA. Traditionally, the annual trade show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year’s Groundwater Week is being held virtually from Dec. 8-11, 2020.

Grundfos is challenging other companies to step up to support the NGWA by donating a portion of their normal show expenses for Groundwater Week.

While we are unable to be in Las Vegas this year, we are dedicated to supporting the advancement of the groundwater sector and associations that represent our partners and customers. We call on companies to contribute. NGWA does a lot to support all of us throughout the year, not just at Groundwater Week. The organization supports our industry with education, research and advocacy. We believe the right thing is to give back to such an essential organization,” said Story.
