Rules

  1. Applications must be received before 23:59 on 18 April 2022 to be considered.
  2. Applicants must be current students at a university in Denmark to be considered.
  3. Teams must be between 3-5 people.
  4. Presentations and any other supporting materials must be delivered in English.
  5. Participants must bring and use their own computers during the competition.
  6. Presentations must be done as a team and each team member must participate.

FAQ

When is the Reinventing Tomorrow case competition taking place? 

The competition will take place on 27 and 28 April 2022 at The Poul Due Jensen Academy at Grundfos’ headquarters in Bjerringbro, at the address Poul Due Jensens Vej 23. The competition includes an overnight stay at a hotel in Viborg. All travel to and from the competition, as well as accommodation, meals and transportation during the competition, will be paid for by Grundfos.

Is the competition limited to students from specific universities?

Students from all universities in Denmark are encouraged to apply. We are looking for the brightest minds across a range of specialties. The strongest candidates may be pursuing a PhD, master’s degree or diploma in areas such as data engineering, digital electronics and software, innovation, business development, mechanical engineering, electrical power or energy engineering.

What size should my team be?

Students can apply as teams if they already know who they’d like to work with, or they can apply as individuals to be grouped into a team. The recommended team size is 4 people, with no more than 5 people per team. 

What is the challenge question? 

The challenge question will be presented to students during the Reinventing Tomorrow case competition on 27-28 April. Teams will have a limited amount of time to craft their solutions. Finalists will defend their recommendations in front of a jury of senior Grundfos leaders.  

What’s included as part of the competition?

This will be an immersive two-day experience at the Grundfos headquarters in Bjerringbro. Students will be working hard on the case challenge, but that is not all the competition involves. Teams will be invited to experience everything Grundfos has to offer, from meeting inspiring mentors to living our culture and values. The competition will take place over two days with all expenses paid, including overnight accommodation at a hotel in Viborg. Food, drinks and entertainment are all on the agenda. Does it cost anything to participate? 

Participating in the Reinventing Tomorrow case competition is free of charge. All expenses will be covered, including transport to and from the competition, accommodation, meals and travel. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

What are the prizes?

Take part in the Reinventing Tomorrow case competition for the chance to win 20.000DKK as a team, and the opportunity to take an internship or student assistant position at Grundfos to take your ideas even further.
