Let's make water a global priority
Water scarcity is one of the most impactful global risks. The United Nations estimates that water scarcity affects more than 40 percent of people around the world. If we don't act now, this figure is projected to increase with the progression of climate change. That is just one of the reasons why we are using our official sponsorship of the Men's EHF EURO 2020 to show our support for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6.
Help us get the world talking about clean water and climate action by sharing your wave on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #goal6and13
Every day, nearly 1,000 children die due to preventable water and sanitation-related diseases.
A total of 80% of all wastewater returns to nature without being properly treated.
Currently, more than 2 billion people are living with the risk of reduced access to freshwater resources by 2050.
Bringing clean water to 650 children
In all 65 matches at the 2020 EHF European Men’s Handball Championship, Grundfos will award the best player with the Grundfos Player of the Match award. Each award comes with a donation of clean water to ten children in Ethiopia, changing their lives forever. Head on over to World Vision to learn more about the project and make your own donation.
It’s our obligation to make clean water available all over the world
We are living in a time in which our technology and know-how about water can save lives. It is a privilege and a responsibility we are deeply aware of. We continue to apply our core qualities in moving, conserving, cleaning and bringing safe water to where it is needed. In short, addressing the global water crisis, one drop at a time.
