Grundfos is set for a major expansion of its DBS business across Egypt following the announcement of a new strategic partnership with TAQA Misr, the country’s leading designer and supplier of fully integrated smart heating solutions for domestic space and water heating and swimming pools.
The new partnership will enable TAQA Misr to take greater advantage of Grundfos’ world leading pump technology and service, as well as increasing availability and exposure of Grundfos DBS pumps on-line and through their established routes to market. These include showrooms of Mahgoub, Mazloum Tiles and El Sallab, major plumbing and bathroom retailers, interior design companies and the country’s leading natural gas distributors, including Town Gas, Egypt Gas, Nat Gas and Cairo Gas.
“Grundfos and TAQA Misr are a perfect match” said Grundfos Key Account Manager in Domestic Building Services, Mohamed Kamal Belal. “We have similar objectives and values. We focus on providing high quality sustainable solutions that reduce energy and water wastage and have developed advanced digital and communication technologies to optimise efficiency across our product ranges.
“Digitisation enables us to cut energy usage and use water more efficiently, which is increasingly important in our fight against climate change”, he added. “Our partnership with TAQA Misr will enable us to significantly increase our digital presence across Egypt whilst strengthening sales of Grundfos DBS products alongside TAQA Misr’s market leading solutions”.
Plans are now in hand for a joint event in early June to officially launch the new partnership and introduce existing TAQA Misr customers to the benefits that smart pumping can bring to both new and existing heating installations.
