Close ties to Germany results in business award
Germany is the largest and most important single market for the Grundfos Group, and therefore Group Executive Vice President Søren Ø. Sørensen was very pleased to receive Danish-German Business Award 2012.
- For more than 50 years we have had an incredibly strong relationship to the German market, and therefore it is with great pride that I, on behalf of both our German and Danish organization, receive this award, he said.
He accepted the award along with Herman Brennecke, Managing Director of the German sales company. The prize was awarded by the Chamber of Commerce on Friday night in Copenhagen, where Grundfos won ahead of Henning Larsen Architects and the shipping company H.P. Therkelsen.
Strong customer relationships
Søren Ø. Sørensen explains that the demand on the German market for high quality fits well with Grundfos' way of acting.
- We have solid customer relationships with a number of large German industrial giants, because we always guarantee to deliver innovative pumps and pump solutions. Historically, the Germans high demands have helped us to develop products that are one step ahead of our competitors, he said.
The MAGNA3, the new ALPHA2 and GRUNDFOS GO was recently launched in the German market, which thereby became the first country to send the new, energy-efficient circulator pumps on to the market.
- We will continue to invest in the relationship with our German partners and Germany will always be a key focus for us, Søren Ø Sørensen says.
