Grundfos helps keep Johor Bahru dry
20-04-2009
In 2005 Grundfos was chosen among several other bidders to deliver four large-scale propeller pumps to handle the massive amounts of water. Equipped with 350 kW engines, the pumps in the instalment have a combined capacity of 20,000 l/s. This ensures that all floodwater from the heavy rainfalls will be pumped out to sea.
The pumps have performed successfully since they were installed and the Johor Bahru City Council are, according to a local newspaper, considering installing similar systems in two other areas; Sungai Segget and Sungai Chat.
Grundfos is very proud to be a part of the project and help keep Johor Bahru from flooding.
