New addition to sponsor lineup for European handball championships
When Europe’s best male and female handballers battle it out for the gold in the upcoming Championships, Grundfos will be more visible than ever.
We will be one of a maximum of eight Official Sponsors for the events to date – alongside AJ (mail order office furniture, materials handling and storage solutions) and Intersport (sporting goods retailer), which are already confirmed.
The sponsorship covers both the Men’s and Women’s EHF EUROs 2016, taking place 15-31 January in Poland and 4–18 December in Sweden respectively.
High scale brand positioning
Our rights package includes strong brand positioning in camera view around the court, through advertising spots at both events on LED boards, floor stickers and static boards behind the goal. Furthermore, we are presenting the official EHF App as well as taking advantage of full activation rights and a major ticketing contingent at the events.
Morten Bach Jensen, Group Vice President for Marketing & Sales Development at Grundfos said: “The EHF EURO is the right fit for Grundfos, particularly due to its popularity in our key sales markets across Europe, including both Poland and Sweden. We really look forward to the massive awareness created around the two handball events. Besides the high visibility of our brand we will be fostering our network and relationships in the markets, as we will bring more than 1,000 guests to the Championship in Poland, contributing to sell-out grandstands and a great onsite atmosphere.”
Most comprehensive ever
Stephan Herth, Executive Director Summer Sports at Infront, commented: “This agreement with Grundfos is the most comprehensive sponsorship agreement ever closed with the brand for the EHF EUROs – since the brand started its involvement more than a decade ago. The prolongation with our long-term partners confirms our sustainable approach, with continuous investments in advertising technologies and a fundamental digital strategy, as well as steadily increasing audience reach.”
In 2014, the Women’s EHF EUROs achieved its highest reach ever with a cumulative audience of 723 million – following 1,919 broadcast hours. Together with the Men’s EHF EURO 2014, this was the strongest year to date in terms of exposure for national team handball in Europe, totalling 4,252 broadcast hours.
