The Water Management Workshop

Cooperation between Sultan Agung Islamic University of Semarang (UNISSULA) with Rotterdam University Applied Science, Netherlands. Supported by Grundfos as a company that specializes in pumping systems.

The workshop is considered very important to introduce the profile of corporate activities to academicians and stakeholders in areas affected by flood hazards in particular. In addition, this workshop also contributed to the development of academic activities within the UNISSULA Semarang as part of the tridharma of university.

Held at Joint Lecture Building UNISULA, attended by UNISSULA's students (Degree, Master, and Doctoral): 10 people, Consultant (Within Yogyakarta and Central Java): 10 people, and Government agencies (Within Central Java): 30 people. From Grundfos, presentation were presented by Didiet A. R (GAS) & Dough Douglas (GWUC) presenting Flood Control. Meanwhile from Rotterdam University, Prof. Jonathan Lekkermerk and Prof. Flooris Boogard presenting Polder System and Pumping.

Based on the opinion of the participants, this event is very useful, especially related to the water management needed for flood control in Central Java region.
