Accountability

We believe that we can thrive only by dedicating ourselves to sustainable business practices and through collaboration with our suppliers and other partners in this journey.

Compliance

We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding corruption. Our Code of Conduct and our anti-corruption compliance programme, based on the UK Bribery Act's rules and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in the USA, outline our commitment to this policy.

In 2020, Grundfos Ethics Committee received 39 complaints, including complaints received via the whistleblower systems. Of these, one was considered a breach of the Code of Conduct in the area of conflict of interests.

We are committed to following relevant data privacy regulations, such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), China's Cyber Security Law (CSL), and the United States' California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We want to conduct our business responsibly and adhere to the product and environmental requirements of the countries where we do business. When issues arise, open and transparent communication is how we engage to mitigate and solve them.

Sustainable purchasing

We see our collaboration with our suppliers as an integral part of our success to develop more sustainable business practices. Our Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) sets related standards for all of our suppliers, including environmental effects, health and safety, and corporate ethics. We performed 124 sustainability audits in 2020. 10% were rated as As, 61% were rated as Bs, 27% were Cs and 2% were Ds.

Recognising the indirect effect of raw material production on our supply chain, we joined the European Raw Material Alliance (ERMA) as one of the founding members to establish a sustainable and transparent EU raw material supply chain, especially for rare earth minerals.
