Grundfos DynaFilter makes its debut at the Parts2Clean Fair
There's a buzz in the air at the Parts2Clean Fair in Stuttgart, Germany this week as Grundfos, together with Anmasi Precision Cleaning, introduces the DynaFilter, a brand new sustainable filtration device made for the metal working industry.
With its advanced filtration technology, the new compact, onsite, water treatment solution has the ability to break apart oil emulsions while achieving uniform washing quality.
The device was initially developed for use in Grundfos' own manufacturing facilities to make metal parts washing more effective and efficient. The DynaFilter proved so successful in delivering uniform washing quality while reducing energy, water and chemical consumption that it is now available to customers in a range of industries.
The DynaFilter uses membrane filtration with rotating discs made of silicon carbide that can withstand high temperatures and hard chemicals. The rotating discs separate the wash media and return 95% of process water and rinsing chemicals to the metal working process, while capturing particles and oil (including emulsified oil) for disposal.
"We know there is a need for this technology because that is exactly what our customers are telling us. That's why we are so excited to introduce this technology and help our customers achieve greater sustainability in their operations while reducing costs,"says Poul Bach Nielsen, Senior Specialist Filter Application at BioBooster and DynaFilter Project Manager.
"While rotating discs are not necessarily new, they have never been utilised in a filtering system for metal parts washing. Our patented dynamic filtering system separates water and rinsing chemicals for reuse, which has benefits for the environment and the bottom line."
With the DynaFilter, it is possible to reduce overall water and chemical consumption by up to 50%, and energy consumption by up to 20%. The new system also lowers maintenance and cleaning costs as it reduces water dump frequency by up to 90%.
Come visit us at Parts2Clean and see the DynaFilter at the Anmasi stand D47 in Hall 5, 24 - 26 October.
