In 2002, Grundfos achieved a turnover increase to DKK 10.7bn, with a pre-tax profit of DKK 726m, or 6.8% of turnover, despite global economic uncertainties. Effective budget flexibility allowed for sustained growth and a 17% profit increase over the previous year.

Key growth occurred in Eastern Europe and the Far East, and for 2003, Grundfos budgeted a record DKK 950m in investments. In 2002, Grundfos joined the United Nations Global Compact.
