Meet Christina – our colleague who always seizes the moment

Christina Nedergaard Kristensen, Process Manager

Who am I
With my entire family working at Grundfos, I feel like I grew up with the company. My journey started very early with factory work during summer vacations. Later, I became a trainee and worked in different departments before continuing my studies. After graduation, I continued my journey in Grundfos as a Production Planner before moving on to different roles within purchasing.

Great career opportunities
In 2015, I was offered my abroad adventure as a Process Manager in Grundfos Switzerland. As my husband was also offered a job within purchasing, we decided to relocate the entire family, living there for 2,5 years. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it really brought the family, and especially my two kids, together in an entirely new way.

Whether it is moving from one job role to another or moving your entire family to a new country, there are unlimited possibilities at Grundfos – you just need to grab them.

How I make a difference
I am responsible for our Operational Procurement Management process, which is global cross-functional and standardised processes. It is the foundation for making the right sourcing decisions in the supply chain and that we do things in the most efficient and beneficial way. Enhancing knowledge sharing across companies is essential when operating on a global level. I thrive in exactly this environment, as there are always new projects and challenges to tackle.

That special culture
Grundfos is a special place where you get to make a difference in the world. There is respect amongst colleagues and the way Grundfos treats employees is quite unique. Your leaders always have your back and you get full support on your journey within Grundfos. I am always happy coming to work, as we have fun in the office and in the entire organisation. The last couple of years, I have joined a skiing trip with 40 other Grundfos employees, which is just one of the many great Grundfos traditions. I have taken an active role in upholding these and introducing our fantastic culture to our new colleagues. It is something truly special.

Fun fact
Not only did I become a skiing enthusiast during our time in Switzerland, I recently started “Badminton Moms” in my hometown.

Meet Antonio – our work culture ambassador

Antonio Serra, Senior Supply Chain Director

Who am I
With an economy education from Italy, I started working in quality in a multinational company. Here, I quickly moved on to a job within supply chain where I worked for 14 years, moving from a plant perspective to a global group role. With a wish for new challenges, I relocated my wife and two daughters to join Grundfos in 2018.

How I make a difference
In Supply Chain, we manage two things: information flow and goods flow. Both are my responsibilities in Europe and the Middle East. We are in the middle of everything and ensure that things are happening at the right time and in the right way. We are the bridge between customer needs and our production sites, listening to what is needed and making sure all customer requirements are met. But I do not only want to make a difference for our customer. I also want to make a difference for my team. I see myself as a coach, where my job is to influence and figure out what each person is best at. People management and coaching is the part I enjoy the most about my job.

A perfect balance
To me, it is essential to find the right balance between family and work. Grundfos has given me the possibility to focus on my family while still getting challenged in my professional life.

That special culture
I continue to be amazed by the trust we have for each other and our partners. The engagement is clearly shown in our company hashtag #proudtobegrundfos. It is not just a slogan, but really something you feel from everyone in the company. Colleagues are doing their utmost for the greater good of Grundfos, not just for their individual cause. Grundfos combines industrial production with care for the environment, so you really feel a sense of purpose. You can make a difference while working on real things that challenges you constantly. That is why I am proud to be working for Grundfos.

And then of course, not to forget, all the social activities like the Grundfos Olympics. I was fortunate enough to experience this during my second year and it is a great example of what makes us as a company.  It was truly an amazing experience.

Fun fact
According to my colleagues, I am not a normal Italian - I can keep time.
