Project Engineer

Would you like to work with tender proposals and design essential pumping station solutions for Danish municipalities? And do you want to be the indispensable technical advisor to both colleagues and customers?

Then join Grundfos – we have high ambitions for sustainability and development and are amidst a generational shift, so your possibilities for influencing the way we do things will be virtually endless.

You get to rise to the challenge, and we offer all means necessary for you to learn and keep learning – the only requirement for you is that you have a technical mindset and enjoy cracking the code to what the customers really need,” Head of Project Department, Jens Bjerritsgaard explains.

Design and price pumping solutions
You will primarily formulate project proposals for pumping stations to publicly owned utility companies and thus help Danish municipalities handle water and wastewater disposal in the most sustainable way possible. Specifically, you:

  • Design and price pumping stations and pumping plant solutions with equal consideration to technical and economic feasibility and customer value
  • Meet with clients to scope and determine project requirements and needs from their perspective
  • Coordinate proposals and solutions with project sales and project manager colleagues
  • Participate in internal development projects, e.g. debureaucratisations, process optimisations, streamlining work flows and securing higher customer and employee loyalty

“You will be the essential link between your project sales colleagues, our customers and the project managers – securing the correct dimensioning of our solutions and quality assuring proposals from both a technical and commercial perspective,” Jens says.

We succeed together
In our Project Department, you will join approx. 20 colleagues located in Denmark and you will be situated in Brøndby. Moreover, you will get 5 other colleagues with a similar job description at your disposal to learn from and share your knowledge with.

In collaboration with your colleagues, you succeed by designing solutions and developing high quality tender proposals that achieve a high hit rate and inspire customer loyalty – and ultimately gain market share within this segment.

Commercially minded engineer
We imagine that you:

  • Are a mechanical, marine or production engineer with a solid theoretical foundation and understanding of dimensioning, mass balance, pressure calculations and water hammering
  • Have some years of experience, e.g. as a consulting engineer or project engineer
  • Are very confident using Excel and experienced with designing in AutoCAD
  • Speak and write English and Danish fluently

You have a customer-oriented approach as you analytically gather, dissect and assemble the customer’s requirements, and you are pragmatic as well as a critical thinker who enjoy initiating and designing solutions and processes in collaboration with others,” Jens finishes.
