Group Finance Indirect Spend Controller

 

Role purpose:

 

As Group Finance Indirect Spend Controller, you will be part of the department "Reporting and Master Data", and thusly be part of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), which is part of Corporate Finance and overall responsible for financial planning and performance management.

The purpose of the department "Reporting and Master Data" is to provide financial support to the FP&A business partners, especially with consolidation, reporting, master data tasks and routine analytics.

The support must be delivered timely and in high quality and will have impact on operational and tactical direction in Grundfos.

The role as dedicated controller for indirect spend is partly new and key to support our journey.

You will report directly to the Manager of Reporting and Master Data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly performance reports and draft presentations to Purchasing Senior Management Team and Finance Business Partners to support them in decision making processes.
  • Support to define & deploy new financial model for Indirect Spend Management
    • Spend transparency – addressable, controlled & recurring vs non-recurring
    • Performance measurement – savings, cost avoidance, supplier performance, etc.
    • Redefine target setting process incl. how this integrates to budget process
  • Support target setting process across all performance measures in joint collaboration with purchasing and business stakeholders
  • Provide analytical support Purchasing Community with ad-hoc reports and analyses about Grundfos Indirect spend.
  • Continuously looking for efficiency gains by optimizing processes and tools to improve both the quality and timing of the performance reporting.
  • Training of, support to and SPoC for Finance stakeholders for matters related to Indirect spend and savings approval.
  • Collaborate closely with both the Purchasing and the Finance Business Partners to ensure timely and accurate implementation of new business requirements

Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations

  • Functional reporting to Head of Reporting and Master data
  • Operational reporting to FP&A Business Partner of Purchasing/ Indirect Purchasing Project Manager (ItV PMO)
  • Works closely with Finance stakeholders globally across companies, regions and group functions
  • Works closely with purchasing stakeholders in global and regional teams
  • Primarily work out of Budapest, Hungary, but as you are part of an international organization, the position requires some travelling

 

Requirements:

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Min. 3 years of experience within financial reporting, financial analyses, financial planning or financial controlling
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work on complex issues
  • Dedicated to delivering work of consistently high quality with tight deadlines
  • Self-driven and proactive in building knowledge and expertise
  • Conscientious and systematic approach to work and problem solving
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working with (e.g. controlling) capacity cost & CAPEX
  • SAP & Power BI - experience is an advantage
  • Enjoy working cross-culturally and have excellent collaboration attitude
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
