The role is based in Chennai, India and is part of a collaborative, agile and international team. We are looking for an experienced manager to our global technology solutions team.

We’re in pursuit of the silver lining of a bold, audacious target of making good business of bringing drinking water to millions of people who have limited or no access to sustainable water services today. 
The tech solutions lead is part of a cross-functional team, and is responsible for managing, coordinating and administering the proposal efforts on all proposals from Lifelink. It is our ambition to introduce systematic bid development, monitoring and management on improved access to water projects in order to be a better partner to key customers in the public and development sectors in emerging economies.
The team has a momentous task ahead of them to identify and set up key processes and parameters of quality, collaboration and impact. 


Your job takes deep engagement and ability to connect with trainees


  • Product manage AQ-product line to fit customer and user-needs (includes support for and participation in proposals and sale)
  • Design, specify and maintain continuous improvements in solar driven community water solutions for no/low water service communities in emerging economies – from intake to tap, including product road map and collaboration with partners and suppliers to deliver turn-key technical solutions (includes support for and participation in proposals and sale)
  • Provide technical and service support to both internal and external customers
  • Internal includes Sales, Service, Production (GIN) and update of Grundfos Product Center (both products and services)
  • Develop and deliver new service concepts – meet quality and service targets
  • Ongoing cost optimizations and prizing optimization on service deliverable
  • Manage people


What do you need to apply?


Over all 12+ years of experience with an Engineering on bachelor’s level or other science/sales/marketing/social science or similar degree coupled to strong technical interest and understanding and work experience from the water industry. Ideally, you have 2+ years’ experience with market development, 5+ years’ experience with product development and/or product management, 5+ years’ experience working directly with technical customer support, 2+ years’ experience with solutions design and specification (end-to-end systems) and experience with sourcing.

You have worked in an international environment, speak, read and write English fluently and have a mindset to corporate across functions and geography. Skype calls is your best friend and you enjoy building personal relations across the distance, but also ready to travel about 6-8 weeks per year primarily to countries in Africa, Asia and South America. We are trial and error team – you must be ready to prioritise, cope with risk and failure, and able to motivate yourself and the team towards the next opportunity. Excellent communication and project management skills with an attention to detail is a must.
