Specialist within fluid mechanics

Do you have it in you to develop, identify and drive new technologies within fluid mechanics?

Then take this opportunity to test your skills, develop your toolbox and establish an impressive network amongst other highly-skilled specialists. In this role, you will help us optimise and invent sustainable solutions, and since sustainability is our business, your ideas are very welcome.

Grundfos have a long tradition with fluid mechanics and the solutions you develop are a crucial part of our future. Right now, we are looking for a senior or entry level specialist  to develop this future with us.

Broad collaborations

As a development engineer, you join 3 colleagues in the Fluid Mechanics Technology department. As a team, we identify and develop new technologies and concepts through short- and long-term projects.

Most often, this happens in collaboration with both internal and external partners, so you will be collaborating broadly with engineers, business developers as well as universities and leading vendors. Also, you will participate in technology scouting for fluid mechanics at Grundfos in collaboration with internal specialists in especially product development.

Explore new opportunities

More specifically, you will explore new possible improvements in existing tools and practices. Similarly, you will help us identify opportunities, establish visions and drive activities to demonstrate and validate the technical aspects needed to support business potentials. In sum, you:

  • Improve and develop new technologies
  • Develop simulation driven design capabilities within fluid mechanics
  • Introduce and develop fully automated design methods
  • Specify prototype tests in collaboration with our test departments
  • Work with simulation CFD and CAD software and programming in e.g. Python, C, C++, MATLAB or HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Engineer interested in product development and fluid mechanics

We are looking for a new colleague – a senior specialist or an entry level specialist. Either, you are a senior profile focusing more on the manufacturing aspects of new technologies, our collaboration with universities and student as well as technology and tool scouting or you are a recent graduate, ready to learn more about developing new technologies and ready to help us support other business areas with simulation.

Common to the positions, we expect applicants to:

  • Hold an MSc degree in engineering
  • Be familiar with fluid mechanics
  • Have some experience with product development
  • Speak and write English fluently – it is a plus if you speak Danish too

On a personal level, we are looking for colleagues who are curios, proactive and adapt easily to new projects. Developing new technologies, few days are the same – and you will get to handle and drive multiple projects at the same time. We look forward to experiencing this.
