Morgan Technical Ceramics win Supplier Award once again

Grundfos has been doing business with Morgan Technical Ceramics for more than 40 years, and the company is a well-known and well-liked supplier. These are the words of Vice President Klavs Hornum, who is responsible for Group Purchase.

- The employees of Morgan Technical Ceramics are very professional and the service we receive across all functions – from production to management – is at a very high level. Therefore, they receive the Supplier Award 2011, he says.

While Morgan Technical Ceramics mainly deliver bearings and shafts for the UP production in the Danish manufacturing company, GBJ, seven other manufacturing companies receive their services too.

Participation in development projects
Six representatives of Morgan Technical Ceramics, headed by General Manager Liam Shaw, had travelled to Bjerringbro where the award was presented by Klavs Hornum.

- It is a great honour for us to receive the Supplier Award 2011, and we are very happy for Grundfos’ recognition. It means a lot to us to be considered a key supplier, says Liam Shaw. He adds that he is very proud of his team.

Morgan Technical Ceramics have also shown their strength by being deeply involved in a number of development projects, most recently the development of the new ALPHA2 and MAGNA3 pumps which were presented at the beginning of 2012.

Innovative solutions
According to Klavs Hornum, close collaboration is very important when developing new products.

- Morgan Technical Ceramics take a whole-hearted approach to our development projects, and this helps to ensure the innovative solutions and high quality that we are known for, he says.

Morgan Technical Ceramics are part of the Morgan Ceramics Division under The Morgan Crucible Company plc. The division has some 5,800 employees at 57 factories and 50 sales offices across the world. The company is the first supplier to win the award twice, since it was first presented in 1999. Morgan Technical Ceramics won the award for the first time in 2008.
