Water design on display in Milan

Currently, Grundfos is visible to the thousands of visitors, who stop by at one of the world’s largest design fairs, Il Salone in Milan, Italy.

This happens as the company in cooperation with Danish artist, Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze, uses design to focus on the world’s fragile water resources at the exhibition “The Tube”.

The artist has created the piece “Behind Water”, which uses 600 liters of water, a brass sphere and a pump from Grundfos to show the fairgoers that we are all responsible for taking the water issues into our own hands.

- It is remarkable that we are a part of an exhibition in connection with one of the world’s largest design fairs, which has little to do with designing pump solutions and services. None the less this is a good opportunity to focus on design as a means of communication, in example to create a different attention to Grundfos’ vision of creating future solutions within water technology and sustainability. At the same time it provides a nice opportunity to show Grundfos to potential future users, says Sara Schøler Lass, Global Discovery & Design Manager.

The design fair is running until April 14th.
