Water is central to our business and our purpose. That’s why we see water as one of the most powerful levers available to deliver practical, scalable climate action.

Climate and water are deeply connected
Climate change reveals itself most clearly through water impacts. Droughts threaten food security. Floods damage infrastructure. Rising seas displace communities. Scarcity disrupts economies and ecosystems, and business continuity depends on sustainable water management.
Addressing these extremes requires smarter pumping and treatment solutions. Every time we move, manage or treat water, energy is consumed. When we do this more efficiently – or use less water altogether – we can reduce emissions significantly and improve resilience.
This is where our opportunity is. Unlocking it requires action, innovation and a shift in how we think about moving, treating and managing water. It's time to break the chain.
- Changing climate leads to more intense and frequent drought, flooding and other extreme weather events.
- Growing need to deal with the consequences of too much, too little, or too dirty water.
- Increasing demand for pumping and water treatment solutions to move, treat and manage more water.
- Requiring more energy and through emissions contributing to further climate change.
A commitment to a sustainable future in action
In line with our verified Science Based Targets, we are committed to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% and scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, from a 2020 baseline. By 2050, we will cut emissions across all scopes by at least 90% and neutralise the rest through permanent removals. Learn how our ambition now becomes action.
Where climate ambition becomes impact
We focus our sustainability efforts where we believe they can have the greatest impact. This means decarbonising our operations, our supply chain and, most importantly, we help our customers reduce emissions during product use, where the majority of our carbon footprint occurs.
Working together for progress and impact
Strong climate governance and collaboration with policy and advocacy partners are critical to accelerating progress and delivering real climate impact.
Explore our climate transition action plan
In 2022, we became the first water solutions company with approved 2030 and 2050 net zero targets. Our climate transition action plan is the roadmap for achieving those targets. It sets clear priorities for reducing emissions in our operations and supply chain, while also focusing in on where we can make the biggest impact - through our intelligent, energy-efficient solutions for customers.
Delivering on our ambitions
Explore how we’re realising our ambitions in practice – saving energy, saving water, embedding circular business principles and providing water access to people in need.
A transformation powered by purpose
Our journey began in 1945 with a single pump built to help a local farmer. That spirit of innovation and responsibility has guided us ever since. From the beginning, we have believed in better: better performance, optimised efficiency and improved quality of life of people.
