Henrik joined the board in 2021, bringing with him extensive executive-level experience in global operations, manufacturing and large-scale industrial leadership including 27 years at Novo Nordisk.
Henrik was Executive Vice President at Novo Nordisk from 2015 to 2025, with responsibility for global operations of manufacturing, capacity build and scaling, product and process development and innovation, global supply chain, global QA and data, and digital and IT operations.
He joined Novo Nordisk in 1998 as an engineer, initially working within logistics and planning, before progressing through multiple managerial roles in the company’s manufacturing organisation. Between 2001 and 2008 he held a series of leadership positions within Product Supply, culminating in his appointment as Senior Vice President of Diabetes API. In 2012 he became Senior Vice President of Diabetes Finished Products, and in 2013 assumed responsibility as Senior Vice President, Product Supply globally.
Henrik has previously held board roles at Ambu A/S, NNE, and Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S, where he served as Chair from 2015–2020. He holds an MSc in Industrial Management and Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and has completed executive leadership programmes at IMD and Harvard Business School.
