Get a reliable system with e-pump functionality

Most post treatment processes require pressurised feed water and backwash water ranging from 1-3 bar for media filter, IX and disinfection to 2-70 bar for membrane filtration. That means you need a wide variety of energy-efficient pumps on hand – with the necessary functionality when it comes to connectivity and controls. 

With Grundfos Smart pumps, you get an all-in-one solution that comes with integrated sensors and controls, which means you don’t need an external drive – and on top of this, they are extremely efficient. Grundfos offers numerous speed-controlled pumps that are referred to as ‘E-pumps’. These come equipped with Grundfos MGE motors with an integrated frequency converter.

Our variable frequency drives can perform functions that go beyond simple speed management, and help simplify the system. The pumps can perform logic tasks and processes that usually require additional control or PLC. You can also connect sensors directly to the pump and SCADA protocols. 

Our MGE motors come with numerous additional features and advantages. If an e-pump is not available for a specific application, it is generally possible to operate the three-phase industrial motors we offer through intelligent pumps. If you do this, you should always refer to the technical information as it is set out in the operating instructions and the datasheet. 

At the end of the day, manufacturing costs and material inputs are lower compared to pump solutions that have external frequency converters. In addition, technical issues that may arise in connection with external frequency converters are avoided.
