Grundfos witnesses the shift of commercial offices towards suburban Mumbai through its pressure boosters
Oberoi Commerz is the first composite 32 storey mixed-use commercial tower at Goregaon (East). This new landmark in Mumbai’s skyline also indicates the emerging trend of the shift of commercial offices towards suburban Mumbai. Rising 133 meters high, Oberoi Commerz is being developed as the region’s new landmark business centre and is all set to be India’s first tallest, fully-glazed commercial structure.
Owing to this accessibility convenience, this architectural landmark will anchor a new dimension in hospitality specially designed for business and corporate travelers; thus marking the beginning of the trend of commercial offices shifting to suburban Mumbai.
Oberoi Commerz being the 32 storey tower had a major challenge of pumping water to 133 meters, which required efficient pump system to supply water effortlessly to the highest point in the building. The pressure boosting required for the building was quite high given its height.
Sustainibility and energy efficiency being prominent in Grundfos solutions, they provided wide range of pump solution, which was suitable for both office and Hotel space.
Oberoi Commerz was installed with Hydro MPC, to boost the water pressure up to 133 meters high. 4 models of Grundfos Hydro MPC pumps were installed, to meet the demand at any given time and maintain the constant water pressure during changing the changing flow. Alternatively Grundfos also provided HVAC pump solution.
The technical data of the Hydro MPC Range
Relative Humidity: 95%
Head: max. 250 m
Liquid Temperature: max 70°C
Operate Pressure: max. 16 bar
With Hydro MPC and HVAC pump solution, the pressure boosting was optimum to the requirement and the water was supplied in accordance with the demand.
