A step-by-step guide to the Energy Check mobile app

Come with us as we take you through every step of the Energy Check mobile app, teaching you how to create projects, enter pump data and much more.

A guide through the Energy Check app:

Energy costs amount to 85 % of a pump’s life cycle cost. So, it’s crucial for your operating costs that your pumps are as efficient as possible.

One way of checking their efficiency is through a Grundfos Energy Check, which you can perform via the Grundfos Energy Check app.

In this module, we’re going to provide you with a step-by-step guide of how to use this app. Before we get started, make sure you have an active login to Grundfos Product Center, otherwise you won’t be able to use this tool. You can create your Grundfos account on the Grundfos website.

Now, let’s get started with the Grundfos Energy Check app.

First things first, you need to download the app. Simply search for Grundfos Energy Check in the AppStore.

When you enter the app, the first thing you’ll have to do is confirm the end user license agreement.

As soon as you’ve done this, you’ll be greeted by a blank screen. Select ‘Add project’ at the bottom.

This is where you create your project.

Enter all relevant information including project settings, customer information, technical information, targeted payback time and other potential targets.

Hit ‘Save’ and you’ll return to the front page. You’ll now see your project on the front page. Select it.

When you’re working in your project, there are a host of possibilities. Click the three dots. From here, you can for instance add photos. Choose ‘Observations’, then click “Add observations” and add the photos you wish. You can also add any relevant comments about your photos. You can add as many as 10 observations per project.

When you’ve added your photos, remember to tick off the “Include in report” button. If you have any additional comments, add them here, click “Save” and then “Done”.

You can also add sections to your project.

Click on the three dots and then ‘Add section’, enter a name for the section, and select its condition. Click "save".

Your section will now appear on the main project menu. You can then add products to your sections. Click on ‘Product’ and enter the relevant product information and data. Click "Save".

Once you’ve entered the relevant product information, you can add photos of your product. Simply click on the three dots and tap on "Add observation".

You can add multiple sections, products and observations, so repeat the process if necessary.

When you’re done adding data to your project, it’s time to upload it to Grundfos.

Enter your username and password to submit your Energy Check. Just use the same login as you use for Grundfos Product Center.  If you don’t have a Grundfos Product Center login, just follow the link from the app to create your account in no time.

When you’ve created your account, simply return to the app and tap “Upload” to share your project with Grundfos.

As soon as we have analysed your data, we will return to you with a report, giving you an overview of your potential energy savings and optimisation possibilities.
