Training starts following Grundfos-SCE agreement
In one of the biggest training challenges the company has ever undertaken, Grundfos Gulf has now begun to schedule initial two-day training courses for members of the 240,000-strong, Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
The move follows the signing, early in March, of a Memorandum of Understanding with the SCE, under which Grundfos will provide training for Council members, who include engineers working across Saudi Arabia, in a wide range of industries and
operational disciplines.
The first course, aimed at recent graduates, took place on 25/26th March, with two further courses already scheduled for the 1/2nd and 8/9th April.
Course content has been agreed with the SCE and is designed to provide the recently qualified engineers with basic skills and knowledge on how pumps work, their applications, types and the technologies involved, as well as an introduction to recent, state-of-the-art sustainable pump solutions.
Training includes a mix of theory and practical opportunities, with trainees, in many cases enjoying their first hands-on experience with the latest technology and modern pump systems.
Discussions are already underway on plans to provide advanced training courses for the Council’s more experienced members, to help them stay ahead of the latest developments in pumping systems and water applications and provide knowledge to pass on to colleagues and newer members.
As part of the programme, Grundfos will also be arranging joint events and associated marketing activities to provide further opportunities for exchange of knowledge and experiences and to help build partnerships between the company, its dealers, SCE management and SCE engineers on the ground.
Further details and course dates will be published as courses and events are agreed and will be available from Grundfos and SCE’s Riyadh Headquarters.
