What is an Energy Check?

Find out what an energy check is, what it does and how it can be beneficial to you.

Before you can energy-optimise a pump, you’ll need to use certain analytical tools to get the necessary knowledge of your optimisation possibilities.

In this module, we’re going to introduce you to one of these tools – Grundfos Energy Check.

A Grundfos Energy Check is an analysis based on pump data such as energy consumption, age and running hours among other factors.

It provides you with an overview of the life cycle costs of one or more pumps in your system, giving you all necessary information of the benefits that you could gain from replacing inefficient pumps with newer models.

Ultimately, replacing inefficient pumps with new, optimised pumps will cut your energy costs and reduce your environmental footprint.

An Energy Check is easy to perform. Simply download the Energy Check mobile app and you can get started right away.

While an Energy Check is the most commonly used tool, some jobs require an Energy Audit.

However, in order to perform an Energy Audit, you need to get in touch with Grundfos first.

During an Energy Audit, we conduct a full inspection of your systems on-site and draw up a list of performance data on, for instance, pressure, temperature, flow, energy consumption and pump start/stop.

Based on the Energy Audit, we can propose changes that can help to improve efficiency in your systems.

So, that concludes our short module on Energy Checks and Energy Audits. Make sure to download the Grundfos Energy Check tool from the AppStore to find out much more about Energy Checks.
